SUSPENDED: CLIPPERS BLOW EIGHT-RUN LEAD, SAVED BY POWER OUTAGE

VALLEJO, Calif. -- A power outage in the bottom of the eighth inning stalled a close game between the Clippers and the Admirals, just as things were getting good - the game was suspended with two out in the bottom of the 8th and the score 13-11 Vallejo (Figueroa on 2nd, Fornaci to bat, Richmond P). This after the Clippers had jumped out to an 8-0 lead, only to see Vallejo bat around in the 7th and take the lead about 10 seconds before high winds caused the outage, on a Kyle Figueroa two-run double which broke an 11-all tie.

The game is expected to be completed on Thursday next, when the teams will meet at Wilson Park (scheduled 6:35 p.m. start time) - follow @MartinezClipper for updates on game status.

The Clippers will end this six-game road trip with one game against the San Rafael Pacifics on Sunday, June 17 - Father’s Day. Coverage begins at 12:40 P.T. for a 1:05 p.m. first pitch, as RHP Logan Campbell takes the mound for Martinez. Tune in for a special pregame show, featuring Clippers players and their fathers on the air.
